High Praise from Locals for our Traffic Management Operatives

It can be a thankless task for our Traffic Management Operatives, standing out in all weathers. Very rarely are their efforts recognised.

This was not the case on a recent job we completed for Amey working for Severn Trent Water.

We were tasked with closing the road through Woodeaves Village, Staffordshire and our guys had to man the closure points 24hr a day. This was a very sensitive closure as this road was a major cut through for local traffic. Not all members of the public were appreciative. However below was the feedback left by one resident

‘I cannot compliment enough the lads who were at the road blocks at either end of the village over the evenings and weekends. What a great bunch of young lads doing what can only be described as the job from hell! The appalling language and behaviour that they suffered from commuters, drivers using Woodseaves as a shortcut, and unfortunately some of our own villagers and they were always polite and courteous. They are a credit to whoever they work for, as over the weeks they got to recognise us, and our cars and always made sure we sailed through the barriers. ‘

WELL DONE GUYS
